Call for artwork purchases | Hicha Gallery

In order to expand its collection of artworks and with the aim of effectively supporting young and trendsetting contemporary artists, Hicha Gallery is issuing an official call for artwork purchases.

Focusing on identifying and selecting valuable works, this call provides an opportunity to present and purchase 22 selected works in the three areas of “painting”, “volume”, and “traditional arts”. The approach of this program is based on collecting works that, in addition to high quality execution, have an independent identity, a contemporary perspective, and the ability to last in professional art collections.

Objectives of the call

In this call, Hicha Gallery is trying to increase the quality and diversity of its collection of works, while providing a basis for direct support for young artists. This approach is designed to strengthen the art economy, promote the status of contemporary artists, and create a sustainable cycle of production and supply of artworks.

Conditions for participating in the call

For young and contemporary artists

At least 2 solo exhibitions are required

The works must have professional quality in execution and visual expression

The works must have a clear and recognizable artistic identity

Criteria for selecting works

In the selection process, priority will be given to works that can transform the artist’s lived experience and personal perspective into a clear and readable visual language. Simplicity of expression, along with the power of the artist’s idea and personal signature, will be among the most important evaluation criteria. The selected works must also be able to be present in the contemporary art flow and professional collections.

Ceiling for purchasing works

The maximum purchase amount for each work has been set at one billion rials. This ceiling is intended to create a balance between supporting young artists and the possibility of assembling a high-quality and purposeful collection.

Deadline for Submissions

The deadline for submitting works has been announced as July 18. After this date, the received works will enter the review and judging process.
