Hichaa Gallery Opens Doors to New Art World with First Online Photo Exhibition in the Metaverse
In an innovative move, Hichaa Gallery has inaugurated its first online photo exhibition titled “Meta Moment”. The exhibition, which is being held simultaneously on the Hichaa Gallery website and in the metaverse, provides an unparalleled opportunity for art lovers across Iran and the world to view 45 selected works by young and creative photographers.
Mohsen Saraji, founder of Hichaa Gallery, spoke to Honar Mashhad, emphasizing the gallery’s support for young and pioneering artists, and stated: “Our first online exhibition is dedicated to the photographs of young and creative artists. These works are a selection of photographs submitted to the Ghahramanan Photo Festival, which was held last summer in collaboration with Hichaa Gallery and Ghahramanan Amusement Park.”
Regarding the unique features of the “Meta Moment” online photo exhibition, the founder of Hichaa Gallery said: “From the outset, we intended to organize an exhibition of selected works from the Ghahramanan Photo Festival. Out of 600 submitted works, 45 were selected by the jury. In line with Hichaa Gallery’s approach to presenting art with the latest technologies, we decided to hold the Meta Moment’ photo exhibition online. This is the first time in Iran that a photo exhibition has been held simultaneously on the website and in the metaverse.”
Saraji went on to mention the NFT of the works in this exhibition, saying: “Another important and unique feature of this exhibition is the NFT of all the works. Visitors can purchase the NFT of the works in addition to the physical version of the works from the Foundation website. This allows artists to permanently retain ownership of their work and benefit from this new technology.”
In conclusion, the founder of Hichaa Gallery outlined the gallery’s future plans for online exhibitions, saying: “At Hichaa Gallery, we strive to be at the forefront of online art in Iran. We have comprehensive, new and creative plans for holding art exhibitions in the future and, in collaboration with young and pioneering artists, we are taking steps on the path of innovation and creativity in presenting art.”
