For a long time, the role of galleries could be explained in its simplest definition: a place to “display” works of art. The walls, the lighting, the arrangement of the works, and the presence of the audience; everything was shaped around one principle: to be seen. But contemporary art in recent decades has shown that this definition is no longer sufficient. Because art today is not produced just to be seen; it is made to be experienced, to engage with, and even to continue in the minds and lives of the audience.
