Description
This painting by Mohammad Chenari measures 49 x 69 cm and was created using the oil-on-canvas technique.
The work depicts a sweeping landscape of plains and the horizon, where the expanse of the land, the stillness of a village and a distant town, and a dynamic, shifting sky converge. Approaching nature with a free and emotive perspective, the artist captures a moment poised between light and shadow—a moment where the interplay of light and color imbues the scene with a unique atmosphere.
In this painting, the sky plays a pivotal role in shaping the composition. The combination of dark clouds set against bright bands of light and the warm hues of the horizon creates a striking contrast, enhancing the sense of vastness and depth. Free brushstrokes and layered colors lend the landscape a lively, dynamic quality, allowing the viewer to experience nature visually rather than merely observing an image.
By simplifying elements and focusing on color, light, and space, the artist moves away from precise representation to offer a poetic depiction of a fleeting moment in nature—a scene where the tranquility of the plains finds balance with the power and movement of the sky.
